2013 to date

Well 2013 started out in a very positive way and has shaped up to be one of the most exciting years to date, in march The Vinyl Towers were launched and broadcast over the web courtesy of Real Soul Radio now known as Heart and Soul Radio www.heartandsoulradio.co.uk .

With that success well and truly in the bag July saw Soul Groove Radio www.soulgrooveradio.co.uk pop up with an interest in broadcasting a show, another 2 hour show was formulated for the good folk and listeners to enjoy and the rest is now history. For 4 hours a week on Friday and Saturday evenings at 6pm to 8pm you can click on to these stations and hear Vintage Vinyl shows with news and gig guides to keep you informed on what is happening locally.

Catch upon all the shows can be found here

In addition the Vinyl Towers also put in an appearance at a charity night for Bognor CAN with star performer Shola Kaye with the Motown Show raising over £1000 for the charity. Awesomeness came from the appearance at the 2013 ROX Music and Arts Festival between bands and acts on the main stage for both the Saturday and Sunday, this was a crowning glory following last years inclusion and provision of the fill in sets on the Concept Audio Stage for the Saturday and sound set up for the DJ Stage on Sunday at the 2012 event.

Shamefully Bognor Regis also lost one of the best live music venues on the south coast for local bands where I also enjoyed presenting the Vinyl Towers show between acts on many occations, this was the Cheers Bar as part of the Bel View Hotel, who every weekend would give local talent its opportunity to perform and be generaly awesome to appreciative audiances on open mic nights Thursdays; band nights Fridays followed by relaxed Sunday afternoons. It was a formula that worked and bonded the towns musical appreciation together and will be very sadly missed.

CHEERS R.I.P.

 ROX Music and Arts in collaboration with Bognor Town council are also providing entertainment for the Christmas Lights Switch on ceremony on November 23rd 2013 wted ith local live band The Feel and of course The Vinyl Towers with the switch on from a celebrate yet to be announced.

Thanks to all that have supported The Vinyl Towers in 2013

2014 ----->

 2014 is shaping up to be even better with a Soul and Ska event set for February 28th featuring ska band The Skore from Southampton on stage and star of The Druids Arms Soul Club and Sussex Soul Club Julie Lambert performing alongside The Vinyl Towers Terry D Nicholas. This is a ticketed event limited to 400,with tickets on sale already it will be a sell out to support local charity Bognor CAN.
The big one however is planned for later in the year Sunday May 4th when Vinyl Towers pop up again in Bognor Regis for the charity event again for Bognor CAN as BONGOPHENIA is staged for the first time on Bognor Seafront at the Royal Hotel and surrounding areas, this is a community event featuring live Bands and the best of the very best south coast Vintage DJ's together with trade stands; workshops; static displays all in order to regenerate Bognor Regis as the seaside resort it has always been.
